Canadian Business College’s Accounting Assistant Program provides students with an understanding of fundamental accounting and business principles. The program offers a foundation in computerized and manual accounting systems, including Sage Simply Accounting and Sage 300 ERP (formerly ACCPAC).
Students will learn important business principles in our accounting courses, such as; dealing with balance sheets, creating and reading financial statements and accounting cycles. Book keeping, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable are also covered. In addition, key Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access can prepare students to competently step into a paraprofessional accounting role.
